Aquarium Architect designed, built, installed and aquascaped this Custom-built Planted Discus Aquarium for this Epping NSW private residence in April 2017.
This owner of this private residence envisioned a room divider aquarium which would connect his living and dining areas gracefully. The owner always loved the sheer grace and elegance of Discus and wanted to encapsulate their beauty amongst a natural aesthetic.
The suave gloss finish and clean lines of our custom cabinetry provide a stunning framework for the relaxing ambience that these beautiful fish and plants provide.The aquarium provides a stunning focal point whilst allowing natural light to flow between the dining area and open-plan adjoining living space.
We provided a very natural look by adding unique pieces of Driftwood, stone and a variety of accentuated them with a variety of Amazon swords, Anubias and other stem plants. The customised LED lighting provides the correct spectrum and requirements to grow the lush plants and keep them healthy.
Crystal clear water was achieved with our purposefully designed biological and mechanical filtration system, which contains several types of bio-media, which are necessary for this type of large Discus Aquarium. Maintenance is a breeze with our proprietary filtration and other unique features which promote energy efficiency.
