This gorgeous custom Planted Aquarium was designed, built, installed and aquascaped for this Epping NSW private residence in 2010 by Aquarium Architect.
The clean lines of the tank and custom cabinetry exude elegance and a relaxing ambience, connecting various living spaces beautifully. The aquarium provides a stunning focal point whilst allowing natural light from the exterior glass doors to flow to the adjoining living space.
We provided a very natural look by adding unique pieces of Malaysian Skeleton Driftwood and accentuated them with a variety of Amazon swords, Java Ferns, wispy Cryptocoryne Balansae, Anubias and other stem plants which were planted into the substrate and attached to the wood.
Our 3D Custom rock feature wall was also added to create an interesting, contrasting feature and also conceals the overflow chamber nicely.
The tank inhabitants consist of a variety of tropical fish including Neon Tetras. The customised LED lighting provides the correct spectrum and requirements to grow the lush plants and keep them healthy.
Crystal clear water was achieved with our purposefully designed sump filtration system, which contains several types of bio-media, suited for this type of aquarium.
Maintenance is a breeze with our proprietary filtration and other unique features which promote energy efficiency.
